Description Two (2) reverse paintings on glass, probably Chinese Export, depicting a fashionably dressed lady and gentleman with titles "Hugo" and "Betty" painted in the white border surrounding the image. Housed in wooden frames painted black. 1st item: Half-length portrait of a man identified as Hugo dressed in a blue jacket before a ruddy brown background. Sight: 9 1/2" H x 7" W. Frame: 12" H x 9 3/4" W. 2nd item: Bust-length portrait of a woman identified as Betty dressed in a pink gown with green neck bow or lavalliere, white ruff, and pink hair bow, set against a pale green background. Sight: 9 1/2" H x 6 3/4" W. Frame: 12" H x 9 1/4" W. 19th Century.
