吳士偉1957年出生於台北，曾獲國家文藝基金會創作補助，畫家生涯舉辦個展十餘次、國內外聯展一百餘次及出版畫集。細看吳士偉的作品，會發現畫中的世界有綻放，也有凋零；有繁花醉人的愜意，也有芳菲落盡的憐惜。吳士偉以不同的墨色與筆法呈現，交織出空間的紛繁層次，勾勒出形態的萬千變化，又富有書法用筆的韻致，正因為有了這生命全相的觀照，作品的表現更加豐富，也留給觀賞者更多感受與想像的空間。
