Antique Chinese Painting in ink & colors on paper of the HeHe Boys on Scroll with red lacquer scroll ends circa 1815-1845. Description from the original Japanese receipt dated 1968: "No 5 figure painting with coloring on paper on silk mounting about 120-150 years old, no name. The he-He er xian: two taoist immortals. they are popularly associated with a happy marriage. He and He are typically depicted holding a lotus flower and the other a box." Age related wear to painting, the scroll silk with damages. Height of art 21 inches (53.5 cm.) X width 11 1/2 inches (29.5 cm.).Provenance: Private North American Collection purchased in post-WW2 Japan from a Collection formed in the early 20th Century.
