By a member of the Myochin family, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th centuryNaturalistically modelled, formed from individually cast, hammered and carved sections crafted to resemble the crustacean's shell with well-chiselled details, assembled with fully articulated joints to allow lifelike mobility; signed on the belly Myochin; with an unassociated wooden storage box. 20.5cm (8in) long with retracted antennae. (2).
