The background imitates wood grain, the depiction in takamaki-e with gold shows mostly prunus blossoms, also a gnarly, withered tree trunk. Peony and three flying birds. Signature HO-SHIN with gold on the underside. Small, spherical ojime with gold lacquer shows a miniscule painting of a Shinto temple with red torii.
