A RARE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF A FEMALE DEITY, TIBETO-CHINESE, 18th ct., the divinity, perhaps a form of Shri Devi, is riding the caparisoned elephant trotting over the sea of blood decorated with scattered human body parts encompassed by a rock formation, the elephant with saddle blanket engraved with various musters, bridle and straps set with red coral beads, both her hands in tarjanimudra, naked apart from a human-skin draped over her shoulders falling down her back, jewellery set with turquoise beads, her face displaying a ferocious expression with protruding eyes below raised bushy eyebrows, third eye, hooked nose, open mouth showing teeth and fangs, beard framing her chin, her hair falling down in tresses over her back topped with a skull and secured with a tiara ornamented with five minute skulls, with inventory number BT 76, unsealed - Minor wear, attributes partly lost
