A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF VIRUPAKSHA, TIBET, 18th ct., seated in lalitasana on a rocky base, his right hand raised in front of his chest supporting the stupa while the left arm is resting on his left leg with the fingers closed, wearing armour, tunic with swirling sleeves, scarf floating around his shoulders with its finials curling up, jewellery set with turquoise beads, his face displaying a severe expression with prominent eyes, broad hooked nose, moustache and beard framing mouth and chin, his elongated earlobes decorated with circular ear rings, the blue coloured hairdo combed in a chignon topped with a lotus and secured with a tiara decorated with a pair of floating ribbons, with inventory number BT 27, unsealed - Very minor wear
