Edmund Franklin Ward (New York, 1892 - 1991) Double sided oil painting on canvas. One side depicting a young boy eating an ice cream cone while holding a red balloon. The other side depicting a figure hanging laundry. Signed lower right. Unframed. Size: 20 x 24 in. Ward studied at the Art Students League with Norman Rockwell with whom he shared a studio. Among his teachers at the League were Thomas Fogarty, Edward Dufner, and George Bridgman. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club, the Guild of Freelance Artists, and a member of the Society of Illustrators.
