Deep porcelain bowl, with rounded cavetto rising to form the steep curvature, raised on a splayed countersunk tall foot base. Depicted is a large pomegranate fruit surrounded by sprawling foliage. Pomegranate is known as the fruit of happiness for its red color and is a symbol of plentiful offspring for its many seeds. The Daoist attribute to it the same power as the peach of immortality. Evenly coated in a rich blue glaze. Banded with a fine double ring on the inner and outer rim. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finish is meticulous. Mark on interior foot base, a horizontal six blue underglaze seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
