|白色缎为地，再用各色绣线绣出花鸟纹样。画面正中偏右，绣以湖石一块，湖石之后，牡丹数株，或花开正茂，或含苞待放。湖石之上，立有山禽一只，远处的空中，另有一只山禽朝此飞来。饰件左下角且绣有朱文方印一枚，印文作“南通女工传习所制”。南通女工传习所由清末状元张謇倡议创立，成立于民国三年（1914），曾延请沈寿任所长兼刺绣教员。该所成立之后屡经停废，一直持续到新中国成立初期，培养了一代刺绣专业人才，为中国工艺美术事业的发展作有不小贡献。
