By Aleksandr LeverovIn keeping with the "character" figures frequently seen in the Russian Lapidary Arts, this figure of a goldminer has been rendered using a variety of Russian minerals. His shirt is carved from granite with a border and elbow patch of bright blue Afghani Lapis Lazuli; the rucksack of green jasper, the bucket of pyrite, the pick axe and tool handles of brown jasper.
