A carved and inscribed agate snuff bottle


Bottle: 18th/19th century, inscription: laterWell-hollowed, the ovoid bottle with a wide mouth, thin and recessed lip, the side walls carved into eight fluted panels, each panel engraved with one line of the eight-line poem in clerical script, all between a ruyi collar carved to the shoulder suspending pendent beads and lotus lappets above a raised and recessed foot inscribed with a Qianlong four-character mark. 2 1/4in (5.7cm) high
