Chinese creme-brownish nephrite jade carved into an ovoid deep vessel, with elevated trumpet flaring rim. Curvaceous covering with slender circular finial mate perfectly to the top of the vessel. Slender Qilin creates the handle with a free ring ornamentation dangling beneath the spout. The exterior carved in relief with arrays of scrolling rococo tendrils in symmetrical arrays simulating the Taotie mask of the seeing eyes. Raised on a splayed foot base above carved hardwood base.
