CHINESE MING PORCELAIN DOUBLE GOURD TEA POT. Potted in a generous double-gourd shape, with the curved hand elevated widely, balanced with a loop handle from the upper to lower body and a thumb piece. Both body well decorated in opaque color of ducks amongst water foliate and lotus blooms in a pond landscape, rounded with the double red rings and geometrical motifs ribbon on the rim, upper of lower body, and handle. All set in coral-red, green, and yellow colors overglazed, against white underglaze ground. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the carving, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.Mark on base, a vertical six underglazed red script -KaiShu- characters mark, enclosed within a double fine rings, Jiajing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
