Chinese Wanli blue and white porcelain Huluping vase. Double gourd resemblance, two bulbous section with narrow opening mouth. The bottom forms a substantial ring-base with a flat offset face. Decorated around the exterior with variegate tones and shades of cobalt blue, with glazed five-claws imperial-blue dragon amidst cloud formations. Both had similar design. Blue fine ring rounded on the outer rim. Mark on base, a vertical six underglazed blue script -KaiShu- characters reign mark, Wanli Reign Period of Great Ming. Dimensions: 4-1/2" H x 3-1/8" Diam.
