A Large Chinese Qing Dynasty celestial shape vessel, a bottom-heavy body tapered gracefully with round shoulder to slender waisted neck flaring at the rim, supported on short foot ring. The bulbous body decorated with hand-painting in various tones and shades of blue vigorous dragon in pursuit of flaming pearl amidst flames and clouds. Phoenix tail pattern lines the neckline between ruyi and geometrical pattern. Scrolling tendril motif and floral ribbons pattern banded to the shoulder and foot. Lishui waves rounded the outer rim. Borders of thin lines incised near the top and foot rims and a clear blue color on a very white paste are characteristic features. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the carving, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. The vase elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood base.
