Chinese Douqing clear celadon porcelain plate. Finely potted in an shallow round vessel, low steep side raised from wide broad cavetto. The decoration produced by carving on the porcelain before glazing and firing in shallow relief of five Fu bats borne amidst scrolling clouds and double gourd. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, pooling on the base slightly veiling the mark. The shape is uniformly proportioned. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.
