18th Century Qing Dynasty Chinese Tibetan silver bronze Bodhisattva figure of seated Amitayus Buddha, the Enlightened One of Immeasurable Life, Lord of Limitless Life and Pristine Awareness, the Sambhogakaya aspect (Enjoyment Body) of Buddha Amitabha. Cast in formal figure, with serene face, two naturally painted long Athe eyes glancing with compassion on beings, gazing on the entirety of migrators; and a smiling face, beneath a elaborate crown, with the hair in tufts. Wearing the complete Sambhogakaya vestments, many jewels, armbands and necklace, adorned with silver. Two hands held in Dhyana mudra gesture of meditation. Seated in vajra posture upon double lotus throne. Extensive trace of gilt remain on robes and throne, with hints of dark-blue pigment on hair.The underside with incised Quatre foil flori-form petal visvavajra surrounding the centralized DaiJi.
