18th Century Qing Dynasty Chinese Tibetan gilt bronze Buddha figure of standing Amitayus. Buddha is shown Seated straight on two feet and both hands holding a begging bowl, held in Dhyana Mudra, with emerging the aura-chakra nimbus with elaborate reliefs of scrolling tendrils, both hands are placed on the center belly, right hand on left with fingers fully stretched and the palms facing upwards, symbolic of the Buddha's entry into a state of profound meditation. The face has an appropriately serene expression, with shining eyes under delicately arched brows and suggestion of a smile of contentment. The hair is arranged in rows of coils that also cover the Ushnisha, the protuberance on the head. The drapery is cast in elegant pleats falling from the shoulders to the lap and pooling across the folded legs. The underside with incised Quatre-foil flori-form petals visvavajra gilt mark surrounded the centralized DaiJiDimensions: 18-3/8" H
