A Substantial rotund body with rounded shoulders converging into a slender neck, with a slightly concave foot base. Covered overall in Flambe glaze, with attractive red and blue and turquoise-blue toward upper rim on a white porcelain body. The Iridescent blue, purple, splashes and streaks characteristic of this glaze are described as yao bian, or "transmutation glaze" and resulting from transmutation of colloidal copper, iron, or other metallic materials into suffusions breaking up the glaze surface. Mark on base, a six incised seal script -ZhuanShu- characters mark, QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty. Dimensions: 12-3/8" H x 7-1/2" Diam.
