来源：日本关西兴福寺旧藏佛塔最早用来供奉和安置舍利、经文和各种法物。根据佛教文献记载，佛陀释迦牟尼涅盘后火化形成舍利，被当地八个国王收取，分别建塔加以供奉。此件铜佛塔由台座，塔基座，塔身，及塔刹等组成。台座为八边方形，其上为塔基和塔身。塔身作十三层，代指十三层天，寓意功德圆满。塔刹顶端为宝珠状钮，佛塔整体体型硕大，制作精良，如此体量佛塔，甚为少见。
