Large Chinese Dingyao Incised White Glazed Ewer. Well potted with a tall elegant ovoid body, rising to a waisted 'bamboo neck' terminating in a cupped mouth, flanked on the sides by a pair of strap channels fastened with loops at the ends, the exterior incised with columns of Chi-Dan characters, all set between bands of radiating lappets at the shoulder and an upright leaf band collar above the foot, covered overall in a creamy-white glaze, the partially glazed base reveals the white stoneware body. {Height: 17 1/4 inches (44 cm)}.
