A late 19th century German 835 standard silver chocolate pot, circa 1880
In the mid-18th century style, of wrythen swirl baluster body raised on three cast scroll feet with leaf junctions. The scroll and acanthus formed spout at a right angle to a detachable turned wooded handle with flat chased foliate junction. The hinged domed lid raided by a scroll thumbpiece with removable pin on chain, the top with a removable section with silver molinet underneath surmounted by an amorphous pyriform final. The interior with drill pierced grill. Stamped 835 underneath only.
