An Italian 1960s Mazzega ceiling light in the manner of Gaetano Sciolari (b. 1927), designed with five chromed plated pierced and up-swept branches, each supporting an opalescent to clear Murano glass globe-shaped shade with central red magma detail, manufactured by the Mazzega Glass Factory (1929 - 1983) 47 x 66 x 66cm. Notes: Mazzega Glass Factory is one of the Murano glass created in 1929. Glassmakers and designers of Mazzega contributed to the diffusion of Murano glass in the 20th century the world. This plant has worked with many famous artists such as Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Jean Cocteau and Georges Braque. It was closed in 1983.
