Three large tin-glazed chargers 18th century, one probably London delftware and painted in blue, green and red with insects in flight above flowering plants, another possibly Dutch and similarly decorated, red 8 mark to the underside, the last painted with flowering plants behind an ornamental fence, damages, 26.3cm max. (3) Provenance: respectively acquired from Christie's, 5th April 1965, lots 94 and 131 (part), formerly in the collection of Sir Gilbert Mellor; and Bethnal Green, c.1952.
