Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong Tianqing glazed porcelain Gu vase. The vase potted in a Chinese porcelain traditional Gu shape. The beaker having baluster shaped body, with bulging belly, trumpet-shaped on the neck, flared opening mouth rim, raised with short cylindrical and splayed foot rim. All reserved masterfully covered in an even coat of a Tianqing underglaze. Sky Blue Glaze In Chinese it is called Tian Qing You. It was a special glaze burnt by the Ru Kiln in Henan Province in the Song Dynasty for the exclusive use of the imperial court. The sky blue creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin.
