Traditional coin of Santa Cruz, Solomon Islands, used in marriage exchanges or purchase of boats. Made of Hibiscus fibres intertwined with thousands of small red feathers of Myzomela cardinalis, a small nectarivorous bird of the Meliphagidae family.
