composed of: wooden suitcase with vanitas containing nine sculpted wooden coffins (cm 56x36, cm 20); rolling meter with coffin-shaped case; embroidery with vanitas; wooden suitcase with 57 clichés for printing catalogues (cm 48x32x27); catalogue of coffins; catalogue of funerary works; 5 photographs; 1 album; 3 books; 15 books ad memoriam; 55 souvenir cards with envelopes; 14 postcards per order; 32 telegrams; 1 black velvet cloth with decorations for funeral vestments. In the past the door-to-door representative's activity was widespread and widespread, especially in the Italian province, where not all the services and products of the city area were present. In order to present the products it was therefore necessary to equip oneself with briefcases containing miniatures, samples and catalogues. Often the miniatures were as functional as the originals and finely detailed. A series of other products were added to the catalogues to give a wider range of choices to the possible buyer. This could be one of the reasons why we find many souvenir cards, telegrams, photographs, postcards for distance ordering and books in memory in this sample book of a funeral parlour representative.
