The beaker having baluster shaped body, with bulging belly, trumpet-shaped on the neck, raised with high round flaring foot base. Emerging auspicious rectangles flanked in each section. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the Wucai design color. Wucai or five-color shades and tones, brightly painted in Wucai design, Opaque colors around the exterior, between the filling motif decorated in colorful motif. The exterior adorned with vigor five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames and vapors, with face and upper right appendage outstretched toward the heavens. Vigorous dragons chasing flaming pearl amidst flames against cobalt blue scrolling clouds diaper, enclosed with auspicious pattern and geometric motived with double fine blue fine rings lines. The backdrop depicts swirling wind and fire painted atop a beautiful Wucai design underglaze. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.
