CONDITION Observed out of the frame, the canvas has been trimmed and re-lined. Visible fine craquelure throughout, but most noticeable to the lower left corner. Small chip to the area of woman's hair. Inspection under UV reveals areas of scattered retouching throughout the painting and a heavy layer of varnish. N.B.
