Palmer and Soudeikine met in 1925 and married shortly thereafter. She features prominently in several important works of the period, including the Soudeikine family portrait (with their cat) in Woodstock, a 1928 mural based on Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, and Self-Portrait: A Resume of the Life of Sergei Soudeikine.
