此件玉环为黄玉质地，瑗呈大圆孔，表面及内外侧琢出三平面，正反两面纹饰相同，刀法利落，玻璃光气。局部受沁钙化，有褐色沁及灰皮，浑然天成。《系辞》云：“有天道焉，有人道焉，有地道焉。兼三才而两之，故六。六者非它也，三才之道也。”此环即为战国、汉代时期流行的三才环，棱面的等分造型，取天、地、人之并列平等之意。整器形制规整，线条流畅自然，抛光技法娴熟精到，沁色斑驳有层次感，十分古朴，高古气息浓厚。
