Anonymous painter of the 19th century, personification of the element ''water'' (''Aqua''), depicted as a female half-act with reeds in her hair sitting on the seashore, holding two amphorae and pouring water and sea animals from them into the ocean on which a small sea monster on the right. The composition goes back to a copperplate engraving by Johannes Sadeler (1550-1600) from around 1600 from a sequence of the four elements based on models by Maerten de Vos (1532-1603).
