|Thailand. Ayutthaya, Kampeng Phet style. Ca. early 16th century.|Bronze with dark patina. In a graceful pose with slim, soft body shapes. The face with stylized arched eyebrows over the long flat nose. The eyes, which where formerly inlaid, of an elegant shape, the full lips contoured with a line, as the elongated earlobes, too. The garment with indicated belt and centerfold. All these features indicate the Ayuttaya style. Height 38.7cm. Mounted on a wooden base. Condition B/C.
