|Myanmar/Burma. 18th/19th c.|Dark red dry lacquer with residue of gilding. Base closed with wood, lacquered wooden tip. Sitting on a high base. The elegantly elongated hands in bhumisparsa and dhyâna mudrâ, the hair shown as fine tips. The garment in relief with the sash over the left shoulder.
