｜Burma/Myanmar. 18th/19th c. Shan style.｜Sandstone with residue of red lacquer and gilding. Hair also made from lacquer. Ketumala probably from lacquered white marble. The stylized facial features are finely designed, characteristic is the nose and the smiling mouth, as well as the closed eyes, surmounted by arched brows. The hair is shaped like small cones of black tayo lacquer, however, most of them are broken off now. Height 44cm. Condition B.｜Provenance:|-Private collection Northern Germany.
