罐以其盖形似古时将军头盔而得名“将军罐”。将军罐始烧于明代，清代康熙朝延续顺治时期式样，造型多样，高矮大小不一。窑变釉是一种以铜红釉为主，并添加多种金属元素烧制而成的高温釉，其釉汁流淌看似天成，实际其呈色规律已为当时窑工所掌握，从而塑造出艳丽华美的釉色。此类窑变釉双耳瓶自乾隆后，嘉庆、道光历朝均有烧造，以乾隆时期，工艺更为精湛。然此瓶釉色极佳，在乾隆中亦属铭心之品，嘉道者更无法望其项背。来源：北京翰海
