China, late Eastern Zhou–early Han dynasty
With an oval section, the bowl with a slightly flared rim, to the center of the two longer sides ear-shaped handles, along the body two parallel horizontal bands with fine geometric motifs.
8 x 14 x 16 cm
Provenance : Fabrizio Savi collection, acquired from a private collector in Bruxelles between 1995 and 2000.
The shape of this cup is in the repertoire of Chinese bronze artists active in the Han era (see the similar container in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, inv. 6743.8).
