A Tibetan bronze figure of Padmapani. Pala style, 14th century Seated with his right knee up on a lotus-base, his right hand resting on his raised knee, the left resting on the base and holding a lotus stem flowering along his shoulder, his slender form clad in a diaphanous dhoti and antelope skin, the blue painted hairdress with beaded strings with a minute figure of Amitabha in front, his cold gilded face with downcast expression and smiling lips. Der Lotoshalter sitzt in lässiger Haltung auf einem doppelten Lotosthron, in der linken Hand den Stängel einer Lotosblüte haltend, gekleidet in lange, durchscheinende Beinkleider und ein Antilopenfell über der linken Schulter, das fein modellierte Gesicht mit leisem Lächeln betont durch kalte Vergoldung und das hochgetürmte Haar mit einer Miniatur des Amitabha dekoriert.
