He graduated from the Painting Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts and undergraduate's class of the same school in 1953 and 1955 respectively. He wasthe member of Xi'an Artists Association, teacher of Zhejing Academy of Art, professor of China Academy of Art and member of China Artists Association. His works like Nanniwan, Iron Bastions and The Three Main fForces of the Red Army Join Forces were housed by The Museum of Revolutionary History, Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution and National Art Museum.
