Dimensions: 2.75in H x 5.5in W x 5.5in D Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Period Qianlong DouCai floral bowls. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, of a shallow vessel, broad wide cavetto, with a straight opening lip, raised on a small round, slightly raised concave footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the DouCai design color. Doucai decoration the design is outlined in underglaze blue and filled in with overglaze colored enamels except blue. Colors which fit together but also contrasting or joined colors. Decoration in a combination of underglaze cobalt blue outlines and enamels added on top of the fired glaze, within the outlines. The Exterior adorned with abundant flowers blooms interspersed with fresh green foliage and interlocking tendril surround the bowls, banded and enclosed with double fine blue rings. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
