An Arts & Crafts enamelled metal “Peacock” pen tray c.1900, apparently unsigned enamelled back and front, the rectangular tray with applied metal buds at the front, having a shaped back panel decorated with a peacock, the tail feather fanning out to fill the space, on metal bun feet 10.5cm high, 24cm wide There is a repair to the back panel bottom left edge, front and back. You can also see a line along the bottom edge of the tail feathers left side that seems to catch the light - may be a fracture to the enamel although you can't feel anything. Some fine scratches and surface abrasions to the tray. Some light wear to the back and some enamel shrinkage on the underside of the base. Wear and tarnishing to the feet and metal elements.
