An oak bureau bookcase, late 18th c, the top with flared cavetto moulded cornice above a pair of arched panelled doors revealing interior of adjustable shelves, the base crossbanded in mahogany, the fall-flap revealing stepped interior with pigeon holes, drawer and well, pair of slides, one faux and three long graduated cockbeaded drawers, bracket feet, 99cm h x 96cm w (the top and base not originally together) The doors cracked and with large chips to top left door edge, cornice with old repaired faults, flap with patches, other patches to veneer, crack to flap and sides, other extensive wear generally consistent with age
