Christian Seybold – successor, Self-Portrait of the Artist in his Mature Age.Seybold, who came to Vienna very early, became `Cammer Mahler` of the imperial family whose members made numerous portraits. Here he also received several commissions from Friedrich August, Elector of Saxony, King of Poland. The self-portrait at hand is, without a doubt, an inspiration from Rembrandt's self-portraits.
