A still life made from a cut melon, grapes, plums, pears and other fruits is arranged in front of a stone. A bowl full of fruits stands on the stone. A tree frames the scene on the left. Several grapes hang in front of a stone block and two trees, in the foreground are four pomegranates, on the left is a basket with fruits and the view goes into the distance, where mountains rise on the horizon. The still lifes is reminiscent of the works of hardly explored Bohemia Maximilian Pfeiler. He became a member of the painters' guild in Prague in 1683 and stayed in Rome from 1694 to 1721. Oil on canvas, 127 x 97 cm
