A LARGE BLUE VELVET 'DRAGON' PANEL Mid Qing Dynasty Of nearly square form, centred with a large medallion enclosing a pair of confronted dragons contending a fluttering ribbon, surrounded by eight blossoming lotus within a square border, the exterior with eight further writhing dragons riding amidst leafy tendrils and acanthus leaves, mounted and glazed, 124cm (48 6/8in) high; together with a gold-ground kesi rectangular panel, late Qing dynasty, delicately woven with polychrome designs of cranes, phoenix and herons standing beside jagged rocks and a gnarled fruiting peach tree, mounted, 124cm (48 6/8in) high.
