A SOAPSTONE FIGURE OF ZONGLI QUAN AND A SOAPSTONE FIGURE OF LÜ DONGBIN 17th/18th century Zongli Quan, carved standing holding a fly-whisk in his left hand, wearing long flowing robes finely incised with cloud scrolls, with a smiling expression, bearded and with hair buns, 20.2cm (8in) high, wood stand; Lü Dongbin, carved standing upright holding a fly-whisk in his left hand, a sword hanging from his back, clad in long flowing robes incised with clouds, his face with serene expression and long wispy beard beneath a scholar's cloth cap, wood stand, 16.2cm (6 3/8in) high.
