A Chinese porcelain Ming style dish decorated in underglaze blue with blossoming lotus on leafy stems meandering over the entire surface of the dish, and it repeats on the reverse, surrounded by chain - and a la grecque border. The base left in brownish painted colour. Qianlong 1736–1795. Diam. 40 cm. Provenance: Old Danish private collection. According to information from the Swedish city architect Salomon Sörensen, 1856–1937. Salomon Sörensen was Malmø's architect in the years 1893–1924. He collected Chinese and Japanese art most of his life. However it has not been possible to verify.
