A fine mid 19th century miniature carriage timepiece with lapis lazuli side panels Thomas Cole, London, retailed by R. & S. Garrard, Panton Street, Haymarket The engraved case with garlands and scrolls, square corner columns with ball finials, surmounted by a scroll handle, the sides and top with shaped masks to frame the lapis lazuli panels, the hinged back door engraved with a bouquet, the silvered Roman numeral dial, engraved with flowers and scrolls, with blued steel hands, the movement with rectangular plates, going barrel, lever escapement vertically mounted on back plate, plain three arm balance. 3 ½ in (8.5cm) high including handle Footnotes: Provenance: The collection of Dr Eugene Antelis.
