signed YUANZHANG, inscribed, and with one seal of the artist dated 1345 year ink and color on paper，hanging scroll Wang Mian (1287–1359) was a Chinese calligrapher and painter of plum blossoms during the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368).Wang Mian developed his own distinct style of painting plum blossoms that was very bold and vigorous. Only a few of his plum paintings have survived.He employed both the delicately descriptive techniques of his academic predecessors and the bold calligraphic brushwork of his literati contemporaries.
